The Panzer is one of three German tanks remaining in the city. The Panther is hit by fire from gunner Corporal Clarence Smoyer in an M-26 series Pershing tank (a T26E3) with a 90mm gun, which had just rolled into position at the crossing of An den Dominikanern and Marzellenstraße.
