Opening scene shows two French Renault FT 17 tanks descending a steep embankment from a path where several pedestrials pass in the background. The tanks then, ford a stream and climb a very steep embankment from the stream. In the background, two derricks are seen on a pier extending partway into the stream. The tanks reach a tree-lined road at the top of the embankment. Change of scene shows one tank running over the remains of a partially destroyed building, as two men watch from closeby.
