Two U.S. Navy 14-inch fifty-caliber guns are seen installed on railway carriages in France, during World War 1. U.S. sailors manipulate the elevation controls on one in the foreground. On Navy gunner stands atop the rail car looking down at the elevated barrel, as others, on a platform, turn the elevation control crank. Scene shifts to inside the rail car where the breech of the gun is shown. Navy gunners open the breech, wipe it briefly, and then close it. The Jack and Heintz war plant in Bedford, Ohio, in 1943, during World War 2, where the company designed and manufactured various aircraft parts and accessories for the U.S. Military. On February 25, 1948, the communists achieve a Czechoslovak coup d'état. On February 27th, Czech President, Edvard Benes, receives a delegation including communist Premier Klement Gottwald and the 12 new members of the cabinet, at the Presidential Palace. He is seen signing documents accepting the communist cabinet. Change of scene shows Czech Foreign Minister, Jan Masaryk, giving a speech rejecting the change.
