Golf scenes on the course of The Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. Players including celebrities present for the reopening of the resort after its closure during World War 2. Four players stand together in front of the golf country club building then known as "The Casino." They include Railway industrialist Robert R. Young (host of the event), British filmmaker J Arthur Rank (a then business partner of Robert Young in their Eagle-Lion Films endeavor), Britain's Duke of Windsor, and former U.S. Senator Burton K Wheeler of Montana. Several scenes of the four men playing golf, including shots with the Duke of Windsor putting, with pipe in mouth, and J. Arthur Rank putting on the green.

Soviet people endure during invasion by Germany during Operation Barbarossa in World War II

Film begins showing Soviet industrial complex with many smoke stacks emitting dark fumes. A banner is raised in front of a statue of Joseph Stalin. Soviet workers turn wheel and use wrench to install a large shaft into a machine in a factory. A large number of Soviet people descend stairs from an electric distribution network at a hydroelectric dam. Soviet head of state Mikhail Kalinin is among the persons seen in the group. Spectators stand on a platform above the dam where a large sign is displayed. View of the dam with gates open and water pouring through to the lower level of the river. Scene shifts to military parade on Red Square in Moscow. during World War 2. A formation of trucks carrying anti-aircraft guns drive along the street. Soviet T-34 tanks are also in the parade. Joseph Stalin waves from a balcony on the Kremlin as the parade passes. Soviet workers also join the parade, carrying banners and marching in a dozen parallel columns along Red Square. They exit in columns around both sides of Saint Basil's Cathedral. Soviet heavy artillery batteries fire at night creating great flashes of light. A shell strike destroys a building. Soviet troops fighting in close quarters among debris in a Russian city. Dead German soldiers lying in debris on a city street. Some are surrounded by weapons and belts of ammunition. A Soviet soldier removes a swastika from the top of a steel bridge. Soviet citizens walk about the ruins of a city during a lull in combat. A child emerges from an underground bunker. Russian sailors walk together along a street. Soviet people gather at an outdoor market, where they purchase foods.

Moroccan Goums (Gourmiers Marocains--native Moroccan tribesmen soldiers under French command)

Mountains are seen in Morocco. French officers inspect a small contingent of Goums in formation.. These were known as "Gourmiers Marocains," a name Americanized to "Goums" by U.S. soldiers during WWII. The patterns on their flowing coats indicate their tribal affiliations.

President Harry S Truman on second visit to Key West. Key West International Fishing Tournament White House Sweepstakes

Presidential party on Navy Crash boat "Dolphin", also called "the Big Wheel" (Navy designation C-26565) carrying President Truman, Two other crash boats also carried tournament participants (C-26590 and C-18345). Party members included the President, his press secretary, Charile Ross, Fleet Admiral William Leahy, William P. Hassett. Clark Clifford, John E. Steelman,Major General Harry D. Vaughn, U.S. Army,Rear Admiral James H. Foskett. and a number of other officials. The Key west White House Sweepstakes was limited to the President and members of his party, including white House correspondents, photographers, and Secret,Service agents. A prize was offered tor the largest fish, anther for the smalles and a third for the best catch -- all to be caught on rod and reel. Afterwards some ot the guests relax with the President at the "Littlle White House.'
