Exercise Jupiter activities at Wiesbaden Airbase, West Germany. (This was a three-day, French-directed war game involving Allied forces in Europe). An Italian Air Force officer and U.S.Air Force Sergeant J. Gormley stand on wing of an F-84E aircraft of the USAF 527th Fighter-Bomber Squadron (86th Fighter-Bomber Wing). The Sergeant opens the plane's canopy and steps into the cockpit, as the Italian officer stands on a ladder to lean in and observe. The aircraft is No. 49-2220. Sergeant Gormley points out features of the cockpit.

Vampire Jets of Italian Squadron taxi and take off at Wiesbaden Air Force Base during Project Cirrus

A U.S. Air Force airman holds a slate for the camera. Among other things, it identifies "Project Cirrus." Active scene following shows a line of Vampire Jet planes from the Italian 6th Inter Squadron. Italian airmen gather around one and then its engine starts showing flames to its rear momentarily. Next, the Vampire jet is seen taxiing past the line of aircraft, on its way toward the active runway. Two more Vampire jets leave their parking places and follows the first. Two ground crewman stand and watch as the three Italian Vampire jets take off.

Project Cirrus, Wiesbaden Germany. Aircraft from a squadron of Italian de Havilland DH.100 Vampire jets move along a taxiway, after landing, to be parked. After they arrive and have shut down their engines, Italian ground crews maneuver the aircraft to park them at an angle, one after another, . Five men spin one aircraft completely around and back it into its desired position. One of them uses a metal tow bar to steer the nose wheel, while others maneuver the aircraft. Ground crewmen handle another arriving Vampire jet, in a similar fashion. C-47 support aircraft are seen in the distant background. Four Vampire jets buzz the field in formation as they prepare to break off and land..
