Sun Valley Resort in the Sawtooth Mountains in Idaho opens to public after serving as a U.S. Navy rest center during World War 2. Skiers atop ridge look over wide view of Sun Valley resort and snow covered mountains. Skiers board a horse driven sleight or sled in front of a ski lodge. Nineteen colleges take part in tricky Slalom races. Views of skiers competing on the ski slopes. Scene changes to ski jumping in New York, and the Torger Tokle Memorial Jump for amateur ski jumpers at Bear Mountains in New York. Art Davlin wins the competition. Bert Bacharach demonstrates the proper way of folding suits and pants to save space. He gives tips to men for folding suits while traveling. He lays a pair of pants on a flat surface and then the shoulders of the jacket on the wide part of the pants. He then folds it neatly for packing while traveling, into suitcase.

An application form is seen. Army Emergency Relief, Navy Relief Society and Air Force Aid Society provide financial aid in cases of emergencies.
