American air crews attend a briefing session in England during World War II. The mission briefer points out their target as the German port of Willhelmshaven. He also points to the positions of B-17s in the mission formation. Among them is seen Captain Morgan's name (pilot of the "Memphis Belle") as one of the flight leaders. The aircrews "hack" their watches. Several crew members kneel as a Chaplain gives them a blessing before the mission.
