High School students contribute to improvements in housing conditions in New York City
Two High School boys stand on a New York city street. Tenament buildings are behind them. children play on the sidewalks and in the street including one riding a home-made roller skate box scooter with the number 2 on it. The boys walk past many children. They are making not of buildings with inadequate fire escapes. Scene suddenly shifts to a boy standing on a bridge overlooking railroad tracks. He is annotating a map or buildings along Lexington Avenue in Manhattan. Next, the student is seen presenting information about this matter and engaging in a discussion about it with classmates. Later, a student spokesman is seen presenting findings about housing inadaquacies to an assembly of people. Local people demonstrate in the streets, carrying banners decrying current conditions. Scene shifts to new housing projects with playgrounds and seemingly better conditions for the residents. Children are seen running in Central Park. A woman (teacher) with children on a ferry boat looking at the skyline of lower Manhattan. (World War II period).

The rangers walk past an American Red Cross tent, adjacent to Greenhill Gardens, Weymouth, where they receive coffee and doughnuts before sailing. A sign at the tent reads: "From the folks back home through the American Red Cross." A U.S. guard and a British guard patrol Weymouth Seafront, beside a gun emplacement on the esplanade in front of the Jubilee Clock Tower. An insignia on the ramp of Landing Ship Tank 357 (LST-357) reads '357' and shows a stork carrying a baby with the words 'We Deliver'. The ramp is raised.

The secret Free French headquarters in Paris during World War 2. Opening scene shows the Lion Of Belfort Statue, at Place Denfert-Rochereau in Paris, France. Pedestrians and cyclists are moving through the area. Next are views through the windshield of a car driving around the statue. It drives up a side street, and a passenger is let out. As the car drives away, the passenger enters a building, housing the secret headquarters of the Free French Forces of the Interior (FFI) and goes inside. He proceeds through some anterooms and down several flights of stairs deep into a subteranean room where he is admitted by a man wearing a white FFI armband. He delivers a paper message to one of two men sitting at a table. The information causes various members of the FFI in the headquarters to begin taking actions to plan a mission. A woman transmits the informtion and orders via a teletype machine.

French General Marie-Pierre Kœnig and his staff (plus a civilian official) review U.S. Army troops in Paris, before they depart, after the liberation of Paris,in 1944, during World War 2. General Koenig has been appointed by General Charles de Gaulle to consolidate French control and administration in Paris. In the opening scene, He and the group are seen walking past the U.S. troops as they stand at attention. Later Koenig and the others stand at attention as the American troops march past, on parade. Views of the U.S. troops marching out of Paris, past landmarks and along the Avenue des Champs-Élysées and through the Arc de Triomphe de l'Étoile (Arch of Triumph). Complete change of scene, shows an American armored personnel carrier moving through a French town and an M3 half track firing at a building. Then U.S. infantry spread out as they attack the area. Next American jeeps are seen traversing a steep bridge. Winding roads in rugged country are seen. A GI using binoculars. American artillerymen firing M116 75mm Pack Howitzers, including some under camouflage nets. Soldiers working to repair and strengthen a timber bridge. A truck carrying Free french soldiers who climb down and receive small arms from another French soldier in a jeep. Camera pans over the boots worn by the French soldiers. Closeups of two. Change of scene shows Free French troops in snow at an Alpine location, where they set up military equipment. French soldiers scanning mountain peaks. A soldier on skis. The soldiers responding to a whistle signal from an officer. They take up positions and fire weapons.
