Film made during World War 2, opens with homemade slate, in color, by Eva Braun, entitled (in German) "Excursion to Kehlsteinhaus" (Hitler's so-called Eagle's Nest). Color shot of shining right headlight of a car decorated with Nazi swastika flag. Black and white view of car driving up a mountain road to the Eagle's Nest. At the top of the drive, members of the staff and cast of the film "Der laufende Berg" are seen. (The film crew had been visited by Adolf Hitler's mistress Eva Braun who filmed parts of the shooting with her private camera. Apparently she invited them to make this visit.) Actress Hansi Knoteck is the first cast member seen after the car ride. The rest of the guests mingle admiring the view, although the mountaintop is covered in mist. Actor, Paul Richter, wearing a Tyrolean hat, smiles and laughs as he takes photographs with his own camera. Actor Gustl Stark-Gstettenbauer, and actresses, Hansi Knoteck and Maria Andergast, stand behind him. Scene shifts to entrance of the Eagles Nest, where the film staff and cast members mingle and converse. Cast members Richter, Stark-Gsterrenbauer, Knoteck, and Andergast fool around for the camera. Andergast puts her finger on the nose of actor Gustl Stark-Gstettenbauer, and he makes a sound with his mouth, while Hansi laughs. Andergast does it twice. Director,Hans Deppe, in buttoned up dark coat chuckles at the antics of his cast members. Next, Some closeups of boy actor Willi Johannis. The visitors are next seen heading toward cars to take them home again. Chauffeurs in German military uniforms prepare the cars. Paul Richter chats with another man as they approach the cars. Richter, Knoteck, and Angergast look backward from the car they are riding. Change of scene shows the four cast members admiring scenery in the area (perhaps on a stop during their descent from the Eagles Nest). Then, the entire visiting group is seen likewise. They point to the sky, as if they see an eagle or some notable bird aloft.

(Hitler entrusted him with the destruction of all his private papers and records, at the end of the war.) The pilot and other officers assist Eva Braun, Gretl and Fanny Braun as they step down from the airplane.

The United States 2nd Marine Division removes wounded from a battlefield in Saipan, Mariana Islands during World War II. An ambulance jeep pulls up at a First Aid Station. The jeep parks and men remove casualty on a stretcher. Medics treat the casualty. They find the casualty to be dead. A priest near the dead marine. The dead being covered with a sheet. The priest says a prayer for the dead. The marines carry a stretcher towards the first aid room.
