Aircraft drops two bombs on both sides of the Rama VI bridge which links the eastern and western banks of the river. Bombs impact and smoke rises. Bangkok is engulfed in a sheet of thick smoke. It stops and Field Marshal von Kleist salutes Generalleutnant Josef Russwurm, Inspector of Army Signals Troops, who was also captured by the U.S. Army 26th Infantry Division.
