In between views of persons being interviewed, the camera pans and shows closeups of travelers lying about on the deck of a sailing ship, in good weather, so they could get some fresh air and sunshine. (A woman immigrant notes that they were forced to do this by the crew.) Another woman talks about prevalence of head lice and delousing procedures.
