Stage actors perform “Faust”. Faust talks to Marguerite, a young maiden when a demon named Mephistopheles enters the room, offering his sword to Faust, commanding him to murder Marguerite. Mephistopheles slices Marguerite’s head, causing her and Faust to magically switch places. Mephistopheles tries to touch Faust’s head, only for the couple to revert back to their places. Mephistopheles attacks Faust, turning him into a skeleton. Mephistopheles drops his sword and turns to Marguerite, who disappears into thin air. The skeleton also disappears. A priest appears out of nowhere, scaring the demon away. Faust and Marguerite appears back in the room where the priest marries them.
A magician comes on stage at a theater. He bows in front of the camera, removes his coat and hat. The magician folds his coat, causing it to disappear into thin air. The magician performs a second trick- he takes a white handkerchief from his pocket, holds the handkerchief over his knees. A pile of tissue paper suddenly appears on top of a chair. The magician takes up the tissue paper and shakes it a few times and three live geese fly out upon the floor. The magician pulls out a black cloth over a basin. Live small animals, geese, and a child appear in the basin.
