Captured German prisoners enter a cemetery with an oxcart loaded with bodies of dead soldiers in France during World War II. German prisoners digging mass grave inside the cemetery in Dompaire (88270 Dompaire, France.) Catholic priests and sacristans with flowers and cross pass by a Free French 2nd Armored Division tank “Valserne” on the way into the cemetery for a French soldier’s funeral. Pallbearers carry the coffin of deceased French soldier to the cemetery. Other French troops carrying flowers and flag follow the pallbearers. Coffin is placed on the ground in front of a Catholic priest. Soldiers make the Catholic Sign of the Cross.
