Activity on the island of Iwo Jima after it's capture in World War II
An injured U.S. soldier on a stretcher is loaded into a medical vehicle. A Douglas R4D-8 transport aircraft taxies on a runway in Iwo Jima, while U.S. Marines walk by and watch. Five Marines, all in arm slings, walk past the R4D-8.
