Several citizens line up and learn how to discharge ordinary fire extinguishers, such as found in public buildings, like schools. Volunteers experience what it is like to wear protective firefighting gear. With help from a Fire Department Officer (in white cap) several volunteers try to control a high pressure hose and direct water onto a pile of debris set up for the occasion. (World War II period).
