Three German soldiers, who were captured in American uniforms, spying behind the American lines, in the Fall of 1944, are executed by a firing squad. In a separate sequence, one of several German civilians is marched toward gallows at Bruchsal prison near Karlsruhe, Germany. They were condemned by a military tribunal for killing six United States Army Air Force aviators who were being held as prisoners of war after crash landing their airplane near the end of the war. A hangman makes preparations. The German criminals are hanged.

On the Lustgarten parade area of Museum Island (Museumsinsel) the firemen demonstrate fire fighting techniques and equipment outside the Old Museum building (Altes Museum) and the Berlin Cathedral (Berliner Dom). Fire brigade trucks move out from positions outside the Old Museum, toward the Berlin Cathedral. They stop in front of the Cathedral and in synchronized fashion they raise the ladders high into the air. A fireman operates a crank to turn on water, while standing in a small boat. Fire fighters standing in a line with hoses direct a flood of water from combine hoses southward from the Old Museum, high into the air, raining down into the Lustgarten in front of the Berlin Cathedral. Includes German narration and ambient background sound from the scene.
U.S. President Richard Nixon arrives at the Tempelhof Air Field in Berlin, Germany during his visit to Europe. Crowd gathered near the terminal building and the security guards on alert. The U.S. Air Force One lands at the runway. Ground staff lay carpet for President Nixon. Nixon and party disembark from the airplane. Crowd cheers for Nixon. German Chancellor Kurt G Kiesinger accompanies Nixon and party for a press address near the runway. The President addresses at the airport. Other dignitaries stand for receiving him, Nixon and a German military general walk towards them. They review German honor guards at the entrance of the terminal building.
