As the autogiro approaches it, a man runs alongside the slow moving autogiro and hooks a satchel onto a line suspended from the craft. Aviator in front seat reels the satchel into the autogiro. The craft flies away, and then shuts down its regular engine and descends and lands on the smoke marked spot, with its rotor blades autorotating.
