At start, the film shows a formation of American C-47 transport aircraft with paratroopers starting to jump from them during World War 2. Viewed moments later from the ground, the sky is filled with trooper' open chutes, descending. An animated map shows Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Germany. It shows location of the Allied paratroopers drop in Holland, intended to spearhead a drive around the Main River into Germany. The map then shows German forces encircling the paratroopers and the Second British Army heading North to the rescue. Next, a huge number of American Soldiers are seen assembled out of doors in England. Closeup of General Dwight D. Eisenhower speaking in a microphone to the assembly. Closeups of soldiers including some who are American Army Air Corps pilots, and other aircrew members, mostly Lieutenants. Senior Paratrooper officers stand at attention in front of formation of troopers with American flag beside them.(Narrator says these were the men who made up the "lost division," heroes who fought alone for seven terrible days.) General Eisenhower makes his way between close ranks of the paratroopers. He is followed by Brigadier General and a Colonel. Lieutenant General Lewis H Bereton also makes his way through the ranks. U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt delivers a speech in Washington DC, United States, before the entry of the United States into World War II. During the speech he warns the Americans of the consequences if Germany wins the war. He says that if Britain loses the war Nazis will take over the whole of Europe, Asia and Africa, and gain control of the seas. Such a situation would endanger the freedom in American continent as well. He clarifies that the U.S. does not intend to send its military forces to Europe to fight against Germany. He also assures the citizens that the Nazis are not going to win the war.

Film opens with scenes of British Horse Guards on parade along street in London, England, watched by crowds on the sidewalks. Next, an elaborate coach, bearing an image of the Coat of Arms of the city of London, is seen arriving at the Guildhall (71 Basinghall St, London EC2V 7HH, United Kingdom). Footmen step to the coach door, where one places a step stool while the other takes the ceremonial mace for bewigged Lord Mayor, Sir Thomas B. Crosby, who steps from the coach, followed by London Sheriff, Sir Charles Augustin Hanson, and other city officials. Four uniformed trumpeters stand in front of the Guildhall and play a fanfare announcing arrival of a royal open coach carrying the monarchs of Great Britain and Germany. When it arrives, King George V quickly steps from the coach and assists Queen Mary as she alights. They are followed by the King's cousin, Emperor (Kaiser) Wilhelm II, of Germany, who steps from the coach. The Kaiser is dressed in Hussar uniform including fur Busby adorned with Totenkopf (Death Head) emblem. A flurry of activity ensues as the King and Queen and the Kaiser engage in greeting various officials and dignitaries. The Kaiser recognizes a woman, likely a relative, in the group and hurries to greet and kiss her.
