Nine Japanese Mitsubishi A6M "Zero" planes, in triangle formation, fly over the Japanese battleship, Nagato. Japanese officers seen on the bridge, including Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto, who is seen using binoculars. His Admiral's flag flies above the Japanese Naval Ensign on the mast of the battleship. Film opens showing a large well equipped gymnasium in a Japanese school. Some boys are holding onto climbing ropes, watching as several boys run toward the camera, jumping over obstacles. Two of them do somersault vaults over theirs. Next, a large group of boys in meager undershorts and bathing caps run down down the steps of their school behind their teacher, who wears a regular bathing suit. Next, the boys run under a battery of showers to enter a swimming pool. One takes a large beach ball with him. Several closeups follow, of boys and girls standing in front of their school building. Film ends showing very closeup views of an individual boy and girl.

Japanese sports prior to World War 2. Closeup of American type football placed on the ground and held by a player as another does a Kick off. Next, players are seen tackling a runner carrying the ball. Scene changes to a gymnasium where Japanese men demonstrate various aspects of Karate. The final scenes show Japanese baseball players warming up before a game. Then baseball players march onto a ball field accompanied by a brass band playing in formation on the field. View of baseball stadium filled with fans as a game is in progress. A batter hits the ball and safely reaches a base, with a hit.

Opening scene shows instructor on a raised platform drilling students in preliminaries for Kendo training. Next, the students divided into two large teams, charge each other in combat exercise. The students wear protective armor (Bogu) and wield wooden swords (Bokken).
