A witness has begun testifying, when people present in the hearing room are told that no demonstrations are permitted, Cameramen take pictures. Another witness appears briefly.Then, FBI Director, J. Edgar Hoover, and his assistant, Louis B. Nichols, appear before the Committee. Hoover is silent. Mr. Nichols does all the testifying. He discusses issues with gambling, narcotics, prostitution. Discussion of effect of crime news on children.

Makin, Australian delegate, talks about solving disputes and working towards interests of United Nations. Several members seated in the General Assembly. He talks about the Veto power in the Security Council.
Lake Success, New York. Second part of the first session of the UN General Assembly, chaired by President Paul-Henri Spaak of Belgium. Warren R. Austin, U.S. representative to the UN Security Council, speaks about the role of United States in war and comments on words, the day prior, from the representative of the USSR. He is applauded by other members. Mr. Austin takes issue with positions and comments expressed by Soviet representative, Mr. Molotov.
U.S. Federal Court House, Foley Square, New York City. Two men wait by elevator, wearing hats and smoking . Several other men join them. Cameramen take their photographs. A policeman stands by elevator door. One man carries newspaper 'The New York Times'. They enter Room Number 2805. Scenes of Frank Costello, and entourage, moving through the Courthouse, with photographers taking pictures.

Camera of television station 'WPIX' is also seen. Bookie, Frank Erickson, with counsel, in hall of the courthouse. Several persons are photographed and interviewed by the press. Press with cameras encircle lawyer George Levy, of Nassau Trotting Association, and follow him as he walks, carrying a cigar. The take flash photographs with large format cameras. Frank Erickson accompanied by counsel, is seen walking in hall and then entering hearing room. Final shot is of George Levy, again.
