The liberated American internee, Bob Jones, is asked what the internees did for entertainment. Jones says that everything was ersatz entertainment and that they would make things up with old boxes and bamboo. He shows how he formed and "played" a pretend trumpet with his hands, and he performs his "trumpet" rendition of Sugar Blues by Clyde McCoy.
