American Civil Rights Movement figure James Meredith resumes his 'March Against Fear' through Mississippi. He begins his march from the spot where he was shot a year earlier. Meredith marches ahead with his supporters and the press. Ray Rickman, who would go on to become deputy Secretary of State for Rhode Island, is seen walking behind Meredith.
