King Mohammed Zahir Shah and Prime Minister Daud Khan are welcomed by officials of the Cabinet and Parliament. The King and his Party proceed to the mosque. People gather to recall in their prayers. The Islamic crowd bows down to pray. Soldiers and people pay homage to their king by saluting and raising the flags. After prayer King Zahir Shah leaves in his car for the palace. Afghans embrace each other to mark the celebration of Eid. Children take a ride on a rustic hand-operated ferris wheel.
