U.S. Marines of the 1st Marine Division, are seen in a group on path during the battle of Peleliu Island, during World War 2. One of the marines has a doberman pincher dog on a leash. Marines drive a jeep on the path, in front of a 1st Marine Tank Battalion M4A2 tank. The marine, with the dog, pours some water, from his mess kit cup, over the dog's head to cool him.
