A-4 missile on launch pad at Peenemunde Rocket Centre in Ostvorpommern, Germany, during World War 2. Launch pad is surrounded by trees. The rocket ignites and then fires fully. The missile rises and accelerates smoothly, continuing its ascent until almost out of sight, when it begins to generate a contrail (water vapor condensation trail) which makes patterns in the sky as it is buffeted by winds aloft.
