Motorcade of U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt arrives at Tampa De Soto Exposition in Key West, Florida. Secret service men walk behind President's car and a man opens a door for President Roosevelt. Navy officials gathered on docks of harbor. President Roosevelt speaks into microphones at the event, commenting on United States values and positions and saying: "We seek no territorial expansion. We are not covetous of our neighbor's goods. We shall cooperate in every proposal honestly put forward to limit armaments. We abhor the appeal to physical force, except to repulse aggression. He continues, "...the institutions of democracy, government with the consent of the governed, must and shall be maintained." A small Navy boat tender with the President and Navy personnel on board. (Event was several months before invasion of European countries by Germany in World War 2.)
