A model car that drives itself is demonstrated at a research center at Princeton in New Jersey. Technicians raise the hood of the model automobile to show circuitry inside that guides the cars movement. A Charlie McCarthy doll with a cigarette in its mouth is in the drivers seat. The automobile automatically stops or passes other cars to avoid collisions by means of a wire guide installed below it. Another toy car is seen on the test track to demonstrate collision avoidance.
