Protestant missionary brings Christianity, education and medical aid to illiterate Pagan tribes in Bakubaland, Belgian Congo. A tribesman rings the bell for a church service. Dr H M Washburn, a missionary, speaks about Christianity as tribesmen listen to him. Mrs Washburn sits in a chair as her husband continues to speak. King Lukenga tries to win back a male Christian by offering him wealth and women. But he refuses to accept the King's offer.
