Mine sweep exercises aboard United States Navy USS Phoebe (MSC-199) in Pacific Ocean. A crew member on board the United States Navy motor minesweeper Phoebe pulls a power cable. One man works with a cable. One of the crew members attaches the power cable with acoustic device MK 4 situated in a cradle at the edge of the deck. Man secures the power cable inserted into the acoustic device. One man holds onto the cable and other man uses a wrench to tighten the collar to secure the power cable to acoustic device. Men on deck prepare to launch one of the floats situated on a cradle along the deck edge. Men wearing life jackets hold onto a steadying line. Float lifted over the side by the ship's boom. Float hangs over the side. MK4 acoustic device lifted by the ship's boom. The device hung over the side of the ship for lowering.
