People take pictures of President Nixon as he joins a crowd in viewing stand to witness the Apollo 12 moon mission launch from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The President chats with others in the stands. A light rain is falling. The President converses with an Army Sergeant. Mrs. Pat Nixon and daughter Patricia join the President in the stands. Many umbrellas are held aloft to shield the Nixons. Attention of the crowd is focused as the Saturn V rocket ignites and the Apollo 12 mission is launched. The rocket soon disappears in the clouds. But the crowd remains attentive (presumably as the roar of the rocket continues to reverberate). In a short while, the crowd begins to disperse.
