A U.S. Army Second Lieutenant narrates his experiences as a West Point cadet in the United States. The narrator instructs new plebes at the West Point Military Academy. The plebes stand at attention. He teaches them the correct method of saluting. The narrator's third year in the academy begins. They attend classes in the academy. An officer explains a map to them. They study about amplifiers, radars, lasers, nuclear fission and fusion, rockets, advance weapon systems and space technology. They also are seen seated in a class and viewing an instructor through closed circuit television as he uses an early computer. The cadets learn about computer programming and operations and the military applications of computers. The students are seen operating a General Electric model of early computer.
