He gets on to the rocket sled and is strapped in spinal position 70 degrees. Sled is launched. In next scene, Airman Marther is strapped on a sled at spinal position 60 degrees and sled is launched. Third subject, African American airman Alton Yates, approaches sled and is strapped into it for the test. Cars parked in the background. Scenes of each of the three human subjects coming to a stop on sleds at the end of the test track, and doctors inspecting the airmen after the test. The subjects exhibit varying levels of disorientation and fatigue at the end of the test.
