U.S. 1st Marine Division in Korea during the Korean War. Two marines from U.S. 1st Marine Division pull each others beards at a camp near Masan. Men unload bags of cigarette, candies and other supplies received for Christmas. Recently arrived U.S. marines ("Replacements") stand in formation. Marines at the camp area. They stand in a chow line for the first hot food they have had in two months, following retreat from Chosin Reservoir. The food being cooked and served, including steaks flown in by the Navy for Christmas dinner. Marines pour coffee from one container to another.
