Reconnaissance patrol move into a suicide valley through a dense jungle to count the number of dead marines. The marines talk as they give information to an officer. The marines rest in a dense jungle as they drink from canteen cups. Two marines carry a casualty on a stretcher as a tank moves alongside for cover. The tank backs out of position. The marines remove the casualty as a tank moves alongside and a machine gun is fired.
