Opening scene shows two skiers holding flaming torches and another carrying a large swastika flag as they descend a snowy hillside. They stop at a prepared tower of evergreens and the torch bearers ignite it. Scene shifts to numerous Hitler Youth members bearing flaming torches encircling the large bonfire. Only their torch lights are visible in the dark. At end of film, Baldur von Schirach, Hitler Youth leader, is seen standing with several boy members of the Hitler Youth.
