Soldiers attempt the technique one by one. Each morning, the narrator describes, soldiers of Company B practice basic body swinging exercises. Expert instructors glide down the slopes effortlessly, performing turns and a jump. The soldiers learn basic turning technique, and one man loses his balance and falls.
