A large group of soldiers in 1930s U.S. Army uniform practice bayonet attacks in two circles. One soldier is at the center of the circle with the training stick, calling the soldiers in the circle in towards him one at a time to practice with the training stick. Narrator describes the exercise. Soldiers performing the same exercise, this time with their backs turned so that they do not know when they will be called to the center of the circle. Demonstration and description of another exercise, this time a competition between the soldiers for accuracy and proficiency with the bayonet attacks.
