Military personnel swarm about on the ramp of airfield in Marshall Islands, where B-29, "Dave's Dream," is parked after returning from the Able Test drop of atomic bomb on Bikini Atoll, as part of Operation Crossroads atomic testing. Seen is Major General Curtis Lemay, Commander of the 20th Air Force, to which the 509th Bombardment Group its atomic bombers (B-29s) were assigned. He is being interviewed in front of another B-29 atomic bomber, with symbol of atomic explosion on its nose area and the name "Atomizer" written on it.

Pilot, Major Woodrow Swancutt and Bombardier, Major Harold H. Wood, are interviewed in front of their B-29 "Dave's Dream," after returning from their mission, dropping an atomic bomb on the Bikini Atoll, in Test Able, of the Operation Crossroads atomic tests. Both officers wear unit patch on left pocket of their flight suits, showing an atomic explosion and the words, "59th Wing."

Airmen on the ground at Eniwitok Atoll (sometimes spelled Enewetak or Eniewetok), Marshall Islands, unload radioactive cargo from a drone B-17 aircraft, of the 509th Bombardment Group, that had flown through the cloud following the atomic Test Able explosion at Bikini Atoll, during Operation Crossroads. (The drone displays an atomic cloud Logo on its fuselage.) The airmen use an ingenious arrangement of cables to remotely position a container under the drone's bomb bay. Then using remote controls, they release cargo from the bomb bay into the container. They reposition the cables (running near the aircraft, to minimize personal exposure) and repeat the process with another container. A C-54 carrying the 509th Bombardment Group's Mushroom Cloud Logo, stands ready to transport the cargo.

A large flat cloud spreads across the water followed by appearance of a huge vertical column of water that creates tremendous wave engulfing test ships, as it descends back down again.
