USS Tennessee struck by Kamikaze , off Okinawa, during World War II

A United States Navy New Mexico class battleship (believed to be the USS Idaho) is seen underway off Okinawa in World War 2. Heavy flak (antiaircraft gun fire) in the sky. Japanese Kamikaze (suicide dive bomber aircraft) in the skies under heavy flak fire. Kamikaze dives and strikes a battleship that appears to be the USS Tennessee (BB-43) throwing up a ball of flame. In the background is a smoking Destroyer, probably the USS Zellars (DD-777) which was already hit by one or two Kamikazes. The Zellars and Tennessee were a short distance ahead of the Idaho during the attack. The USS Zellars was dead in the water as the USS Idaho passed it.

At TC: 00:53, a Japanese Kamikaze is seen striking the Missouri's starboard side,aft, exploding and raising a large black cloud of smoke. Scene shifts to more battles between U.S. warships and attacking Japanese planes. At TC: 01:36, the USS Enterprise (CV-6) is seen underway with smoke rising from her starboard aft, following a strike by a Kamikaze.
