Germany launches V-1 flying bombs against England during World War II
Initial scene shows German soldiers setting up a camera, in a camouflaged location, during World War 2. . Views from the water, of the White Cliffs of Dover, on the English Channel coast. Suddenly, a jet-propelled V-1 flying bomb is seen racing past the camera and disappearing in the distance. Next the camera focuses on another V-1 and tracks it. Its body, wings, and jet engine affixed to its top, are clearly seen. as are pulses of flame from its engine. Another V-1 launches from near the camera and flashes past, disappearing in the distance. The final scene shows a V-1 in flight, even clearer than the earlier views. (Note: The V-1 was also known as a buzz bomb or doodle bug was the first cruise missile used in wartime.)

Hanging of a Nazi war criminal in Landsberg, Germany after end of World War 2. . American Military officers stand and converse near the gallows. The condemned man, attended by guards and a priest, comes out of a building. They climb the stairs of the scaffold for hanging. An American Field Grade Officer speaks of charges against the condemned man. Soldiers stand near the gallows and watch the hanging. The hooded, condemned man is dropped through a trap by the executioner, Johann Reichhardt, who wears the traditional German executioners’ attire of black coat, white shirt and, black bow tie and black hat. (Reichardt who is clearly seen standing on the platform, was a principal executioner for the Third Reich. But he was subsequently employed by the Occupation Authorities from November 1945, through May, 1946. to help execute Nazi war criminals at Landsberg am Lech by hanging. He was subsequently arrested in 1947, interned, and tried in a tribunal at Munich, where he was sentenced to strict punishment measures.) A military doctor uses a stethoscope to confirm death of the hanging man.

USAAF Crew members, of the 323rd Bombardment Group, climb out of their Martin B-26 Marauder aircraft after returning to Denain-Prouvy Airdrome, France (A-83) from a mission over Germany, in World War 2. The aircraft commander (pilot) fills out the Form 1 for the crew chief and then he and the crew climb aboard a waiting crew transport truck. Several of them light cigarettes and begin to discuss the mission in animated ways. As the truck drives away, hangars and several parked B-26s can be seen in the background.

Opening slate cites location as A-83 (Denain-Prouvy Airdrome, France). Aircrew members step from back of an open crew transport truck and walk to their parked Martin B-26 Marauder aircraft, of the U.S. Army Air Forces 323rd Bombardment Group. The entire side fuselage of the aircraft is covered with painted bombs indicating the many missions it had completed, thus far, during World War 2. Crew members place their gear on the ground in front of the aircraft as a Staff Sergeant (Maintenance Chief) brings the plane's Form 1 (Flight Report and Maintenance Record) for the pilot to review and sign. (This segment is repeated twice for the camera.) Closeup of the pilot discussing the aircraft status with an enlisted man. Meanwhile other crew members stand around. One crew member lights the Tech Sergeant's cigarette. Closeup of an officer crew member, with Marsden Matting on ground in background. Closeup of pilot annotating and signing the aircraft Form 1. Next, the pilot distributes mail to members of the crew. An airman brings a pet dog to one of the crew who plays with it.
