Dramatization. Henry Morton Stanley arrives in Ujiji to meet David Livingstone. Livingstone’s Muslim African servant, Abdullah Susi, runs out of the house to meet caravan of Henry Morton Stanley. Susi introduces himself to Henry Morton Stanley. African servant informs his master of another white man’s arrival on his sickbed. African servant helps Livingstone stand up from bed. David Livingstone meets Henry Morton Stanley for the first time. Henry Morton Stanley utters his famous words, “Dr. Livingstone, I presume”. Livingstone gently nods in affirmative. Livingstone and Stanley shake hands. Livingstone and Stanley talk about news outside Africa over snacks. David Livingstone bids good-bye and leaves.

Henry Morton Stanley attempts to persuade David Livingstone to come back home with him. David Livingstone nods his head in disapproval, choosing to remain in Africa.
Dramatization: Dr. David Livingstone’s party paddles the Zambesi River in Mozambique. A hippopotamus swims nearby. David Livingstone’s canoe flips over, Livingstone falls, with Livingstone’s African attendants swim to an islet of reeds. David Livingstone emerges from river, calls his two attendants. A Nile crocodile opens its mouth. David Livingstone commands his attendants to swim back to land. African attendants swim back to Livingstone, evading the hippopotamus and the Nile crocodile. David Livingstone commands his African attendants sit with him near the river. David Livingstone’s party trek through tall jungle grass in Mozambique, on the way to the Indian Ocean. A hostile tribe confronts the party. Livingstone’s attendants run away. Hostile tribe archers attempt to shoot arrows at Livingstone. Tribesmen confront face-to-face with David Livingstone, who convinces them that he is not an Arab or Portuguese slave trader, but he is a “white man”, a term applied only to the British in Africa at that period. David Livingstone commands the Africans to sit down. David Livingstone admonishes the African tribesmen.
In dramatization, Dr. David Livingstone’s party, joined by bushmen, trek through Southern Africa to reach the Indian Ocean. African attendant attempts to piggyback David Livingstone as they wade through a swamp, but Livingstone falls. African attendants carry on their backs various supplies, including a painting. David Livingstone spots a leopard resting on the grass. David Livingstone orders his men to shoot the leopard, but the leopard runs away.
Dramatization. Dr. David Livingstone saves a sick African slave boy’s life. David Livingstone and his party witnesses a slave trader ordering a servant to kill an enslaved native African boy. David Livingstone rushes to the boy’s aid. African slave boy cries, begging for his life. David Livingstone restrains the servant and disarms his machete. David Livingstone confronts slave trader. David Livingstone buys the native slave boy from the slave trader. David Livingstone orders his African servants to bring 5 yards of cloth. David Livingstone untie the rope on boy’s hands and gives the slave trader cloth. David Livingstone and his native caravan, with the young native slave boy, continues their trek along southeastern Africa.
