Crew of USS Enterprise (CV-6) working to control damage after being struck by Japanese Kamikaze in World War II

American warships firing antiaircraft guns at Japanese aircraft attacking the fleet. Black flak bursts seen in air. Crews directing water hoses into gaping hole in flight deck where the forward elevator used to be before it was blown out of the ship by the explosion of the Kamikaze's bomb. Aftermath of Japanese Kamikaze attack that struck aft of number 5 gun on the destroyer, USS Sigsbee (DD-502), April 14th, 1945, while she was on radar picket duty off Okinawa, during World War 2.
