Dr.Hjalmar Schacht, President of the Reichsbank and Minister of Economics, makes a propaganda speech in front of crowd, extolling Reich Chancellor Hitler and his ability to direct the Nation. Various views of crowd and Hitler youth, boys and girls, at the rally. Crowds cheering.
Two months after the ant-semitic Kristallnacht events, speaking to the Reichstag in a meeting at the Kroll Opera House, Hitler predicts the annihilation of the Jewish race in Europe if a war occurs. The insignia of the Nazi Party in the background. People cheer and applaud Hitler's anti-Jewish speech.
The burning of the books on 10th May 1933 by German troopers. German SA (Stormtroopers) and members of Hitler Youth burn books and other works considered 'Un-German'. Reich Minister of Propaganda Joseph Goebbels delivers a speech to Hitler Youth, after which the assembly joins in a patriotic song.
President Harry S Truman arrives at Gatow Airport in Berlin. Various British officials at airport. Truman shakes hands and speaks to Military Police Honor Guard and boards C-54 plane. Truman waves goodbye from entrance platform of plane. MPs raise American flag from pole. American, British and Russian flags. President Truman and Prime Minister of UK, Clement R Attlee at Gatow airport bids officials farewell and boards planes. Cameramen take pictures.
Winston Churchill arrives in Berlin. He emerges from a plane in a military uniform. He walks down the steps of aircraft and shakes hands with Field Marshal Bernard Montgomery. Other military officials at the airport. Churchill and Montgomery walk away followed by other officials. They inspect British Honor Guard.
Major Otto Remer,Commander of the Berlin Guard Regiment. He is known for his role in thwarting overthrow of Hitler's regime, following the 20th July, 1944 bomb Plot, when Hitler ordered him to take charge of all troops in Berlin and to apprehend conspirators. Major Remer addresses his Regiment, drawn up in formation, and emphasizes the Unity of the Nazi party and the German Army. His Regiment then parades while he reviews them. (World War II period).
