General O'Donnell walks over to converse with Major Robert Morgan, who is well-known as the pilot of the B-17 "Memphis Belle" that flew 25 missions over Germany in the European theater. He now flies B-29s with the 73rd Wing in the Pacific theater. (World War II period).

Major Robert Morgan (well-known as the pilot of the B-17, "Memphis Belle," first to complete 25 missions over Germany, in the European Theater and now a B-29 Aircraft Commander with the 73rd Bomb Wing) briefs his crew. They sit on the tarmac near their aircraft, the B-29, "Dauntless Dotty," which was lead aircraft on the first B-29 bombing mission over Japan, on November 24, 1944. In 1916,The Lafayette Escadrille, a group of American airmen who fought for France before American entry into World War I, with Indian chief's head in war paint and headdress painted on fuselage of their Nieuport aircraft. Crowd gathered outside offices of the Zeppelin Transport Company at a building in Lakehurst Naval Air Station, upon arrival of the German zeppelin dirigible, Hindenburg (LZ-129) following its flight from Germany. A commercial bus is parked ready to transport passengers from the Hindenburg. A photographer sits on the bus roof. Crowd listens to Dr. Hugo Eckener, of the Zeppelin Company, who just arrived on the Hindenburg. After speaking, Dr. Eckener struggles through the crowd to enter the office. Sign overhead reads, among other things, 'German Zeppelin Transport Co' and 'American Airlines Inc'. Arriving passengers leave the office and make their way, through the throng, to the bus. Several speak to reporters on their way.
