U.S. Marines boarding troop transport ships in World War 2. A line of the transport ships underway in the Pacific, en route to Tarawa, Gilbert Islands. The Destroyer, USS Frazier (DD-607) seen close to port, astern, with a line extending to the transport ship. A sealed packet of orders for the transport and the Marines is delivered over the line. During World War 2, Group Adjutant reads 8th Bomber Command orders of the day, on July 7th, 1943. Members of the 351st Bomb Group stand in formation in front of B-17s during an award ceremony. The decorations, including Silver Star, Distinguished Flying Cross,and Soldiers Medal, are arranged on a table for presentation. The recipients are lined up at attention. Narrator points out Bombardier Stevens receiving the DFC and other airmen and their awards.

Soviet navy coastal defense gun is fired during World War II
Commander of Soviet Artillery battery descends stairway through wooded area and gives orders to Navy coastal defense artillerymen accompanying him. Brief glimpse of steel turret housing a 12"/52 (30.5 cm) gun (railroad gun). Soviet officer using set of dividers and charts to plot firing plan. He phones instructions to naval gun crew, who remove cover from gun barrel. Entire area is wooded, and the gun is covered in tree branch camouflage. Steel side of gun turret contains Russian (cyrillic) writing and the date: 1943, Next sequence shows turret rotating and barrel elevating as gun positions to fire. Sailors carry several powder bags that they place on a roller conveyer along with a shell. All are brought to the gun breech and loaded.
