Hunter brothers fly the "City of Chicago" aircraft setting a new endurance flight record over Northbrook, Illinois

The airborne "City of Chicago" airplane, a Stinson SM-1 "Detroiter," circling the Sky Harbor Airport at Northbrook, Illinois, while setting a new flight endurance record. A large number of people gathered at the airport looking skywards toward the aircraft being flown by John Hunter and Kenneth Hunter. A separate Stinson SM-1 aircraft, known as "Big Ben," flown by their brothers Albert Hunter and Walter Hunter, refuels the endurance aircraft in mid air, with a flexible hose connected from the refueling aircraft that is flying just above the other Stinson SM-1 aircraft. View from aboard the refueling aircraft, looking downward at Kenneth Hunter who is standing up in the open cockpit and directing the hose during the mid-flight refueling operation. After refueling is complete, the hose is seen to drop free from the "City of Chicago." One of the Hunter brothers standing up and leaning out toward the nose of the "City of Chicago" aircraft as he inspects the engine during mid-flight. View on the ground of civilians looking upward at the aircraft flying in the sky. (The "City of Chicago" record set during this flight was 553 hours, 41 minutes, 30 seconds in the air.)
