Local boys build a steam-powered automobile in Jamesburg, New Jersey. Three boys make the amateur version of a Stanley Steamer auto. The boys use kindling wood to stoke a fire for steam power. Steam rises from the device. The boys hop onto their car and drive it down a road in before a gathered crowd. (World War II period).
Eleven year old Song Yong Cho, a legless orphan of the Korean war, arrives in America to begin a new life in Boystown. Song Yong Cho disembarks a plane and is greeted by his adoptive mother. He walks with his adoptive mother. Signs : 'Entrance', 'U.S. Customs', 'U.S. Immigration', 'U.S. Public Health', 'Dept. of Agriculture'. Song Cho's luggage is inspected by a custom guard. He stands with a man near a counter and then moves.
U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower and the First Lady of the United States, Mamie Geneva Doud Eisenhower meet veterans in the White House gardens in Washington DC. The President and Mrs. Eisenhower meet the sick and disabled men and women of the armed forces. Veterans come to the White House lawns on crutches and wheel chairs. Vice President Richard Nixon and his wife, U.S. Army General Omar Bradley and other government dignitaries meet the veterans. The veterans enjoy the White House hospitality and eat.
A land cruiser, giant truck treads lightly over the ground in California. U.S. army officers watch the rolligon as it moves over the ground on its enormous tires. The rolligon climbs the side of a building. It runs over the inventor without injuring him.
In a conference room of the White House, Washington, DC, U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower signs Senate Bill S. 2150 authorizing the United States to collaborate with Canada in creation of the St. Lawrence Seaway. The President holds up the documents. and signs them. A map of St. Lawrence Seaway is displayed behind the gathering of officials that includes the principal Congressional sponsors, Senator Wiley and Representative Dondero.
