The launch displays the American flag as well as that of the United States Secretary of War. Secretary of War Dwight Filley Davis with his daughters Alice Brooks Davis and Cynthia Davis, disembark from the ship. They are joined by another gentleman, followed by a U.S. Navy Captain.
