Next scene, in the United States, shows disabled and injured veterans of World War 1, and recovering soldier veterans, as they exit railroad hospital trains at a train station, and are met by medical staff of Fort Sheridan, in Lake County, Illinois. Former communist Chinese prisoners repatriated from Korean War prison camps arrive in Taipei, Taiwan, becoming "anti-Communist Heroes" January 23, 1954.
