United States Navy FJ-3 of Navy Fighter Squadron, VF-211 (Red Checkertails) lands on the deck of USS Bonhomme Richard (CV-31) off the California coast, as she is preparing for deployment to the Western Pacific. The aircraft has two sidewinder missiles attached under its wings. Red shirt ordnance men attach cover over one of the missiles, and remove electric leads. Missile being removed from plane's bomb rack and put on a sled onto bomb elevator and is lowered down. Missile placed on plane launcher and cover from missile nose being removed. Flash light test conducted on the missile nose. Pilot gives thumbs up signal to flight deck. Plane takes off from the deck of the ship.
